John R. Windsor, Jr.
Mr. Windsor, a native of Louisiana, has been a licensed attorney since 1991, working in the home office of an insurance company in Advanced Marketing, as a Trust officer, in a local financial planning firm, and has worked extensively in the areas of estate planning, retirement plan design and administration, business entity succession planning, small businesses, negotiating business transactions, in the estate and trust area representing trust and estate beneficiaries, probate, and various tax issues. The overall experience provides a unique perspective on working with financial advisors to implement your planning, including successful planning of your exit from your business, transition to a family member, key-employee, or outsiders, using the most efficient means of transfer and maximizing the value to the owner.
Mr. Windsor has his Juris Doctor from Tulane University, and a Masters in Tax Law (LLM) from Boston University. He has published articles on deferred compensation in both the non-profit and private sector in Trust and Estates magazine and Financial Planning magazines.
He is involved in local charitable endeavors, serving as chair of the Stewardship Committee of his church and on the Finance Committee. He is a member of the Tennessee, Mississippi and Louisiana Bar Associations, the Memphis Bar Association serving as co-chair of the non-dues revenue committee, and as a member of the Finance Committee.
